The College community was very saddened to hear the news of Joel’s passing whilst he was on holidays overseas
Joel graduated from St Pauls in 2011 and took up an ICT Traineeship with the Catholic Education Office Parramatta. We had often had Joel back at the College fixing our IT issues. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Galayini family at this tragic time.
Lord God, source and destiny of our lives,
in Your loving providence You gave us Joel
to grow in wisdom, age, and grace.
Now You have called him to Yourself.
We grieve over the loss of one so young
and struggle to understand Your purpose.
Draw him to Yourself
and give him full stature in Christ.
May he stand with all the angels and saints,
who know Your love and praise Your saving will.
Amen.

Our Year 12 Advanced English students welcomed Emily Bosco from Into English to present on their Module A unit ‘Textual Conversations - Looking for Richard’. Students were given the opportunity to closely engage with the content, as well as participate in an informative question and answer session to strengthen their understanding of ideas, purpose and context. Students meet weekly to participate in strategy game play by engaging in the card game; Magic The Gathering (MTG). This allows for the practical application of numeracy and communication skills, and of course some fun.
